Indialantic, --

Captain Todd Burnett, EMT David Murtha, Volunteer Mark Ricci, Salvatore Liberto, and Spencer Ross attended a Homeland Security class in Anniston Alabama the week of October 22.  The class offered by the Center for Domestic Preparedness provides this training free of charge to qualified agencies. The class involved a hands on training class of haz-mat materials in a true toxic environment using chemical agents. The advanced training enables first responders to effectively prevent, respond to, and recover from real world incidents involving acts of terrorism and other hazardous materials. The desire for our firefighters to attend these classes shows the devotion they have to the fire service and to the citizens of our community.
